Maria Cristina, our guide, knows the history and tradition silletera like no one else. Assembling your own silleta and carrying (or attempting to carry!) a real silleta truly touches your soul and leaves a flower in your heart.

At first I hesitated because the tour seemed inexpensive for everything it offered, but once in Santa Elena I realized that the community's intention is for more and more people to learn about their traditions. I loved seeing the circular economy in action!
